YAS is an agency focused on young and emerging artists and contemporary arts lovers.

We work to give space, support and visibility to artists engaged in the visual and performing arts field active mainly in Italy and in Europe.

WORK ETHIC, GENDER  EQUALITY AND INCLUSIVE LANGUAGE



The work ethic has always been a strong point for those who work at Yas: something that we think should come before any artistic or organizational matter.

We are committed to this by paying ourselves, paying those who collaborate with Yas, guaranteeing free information about fair working conditions, access to specific legal advice and collaboration contracts.

These are the same criteria by which we choose our partners.

As a Yas team, we believe that gender equality concerns civilization and rights first, then politics. We are therefore committed to ensuring that female artists, male artists and non-binary artists are represented in a measure that is as fair as possible and non-discriminatory.

Starting from this, we felt the need to respond the demands of feminist, queer and non-binary representativeness for the use of a more inclusive language.





CARE: CONCEPTUAL, RELATIONAL, ACTIVIST


We would like the concept of CARE to be central to our artistic community and society.

The message that Yas wants to share is, first of all, ‘care for the artists’ work, for the artistic and cultural community (visual arts, music, entertainment), for artistic practice, for production and fruition’.

We would like to extend this concept also to the way of making and weaving relationships, of developing them and of sharing and communicating art.


We are committed to sharing examples and projects that can inspire, as much as possible, the concretization of practicing care, which means choosing the way to become activists.



A FAR-SIGHTED AND SHARED PLANNING PROGRAM



Although Yas is configured as an agency, we deal with art in a broad sense.

We would like to contribute to start a reflection about what organizing events and exhibitions means in current times and we have chosen to do it sharing our vision and trying to be far-sighted.

This is  because we believe that quality programming needs a broad scope and that every action has an impact.

Why sharing?   Because we think that, at the design level, this is the best choice to combine different ideas and intersect skills.







DELIA MANGANO

YAS Founder
Delia Mangano is an independent curator and art advisor. She trained as a film critic at the DAMS in Padua, graduating in Magistral with a thesis on video art and a special focus on the artist Pipilotti Rist.

In the meantime she attends the Course in Curatorial Practices promoted by the A+A gallery in Venice and spends some years in the lagoon working for the Biennale and several national pavilions, carrying out independent projects and collaborations with various cities and organizing exhibitions, events and concerts within the underground culture.
She now lives and works between Milan and Venice.

About her: I have a very intense relationship with aesthetics, colors and combinations, my cats, public and social art,  conceptual art, blue, chocolate, places with water and sea.

I’m obsessed with ecology, cultural centers, activism, Venice, design, French and Polish films, world music, music festivals, and a sense of justice.

The sense of humor and a vision of the world in terms of ethical and conscious evolution are fundamental for me.

We offer the service of drafting and revision of texts and portfolio revision from the curatorial perspective, advising you in the best possible way, considering your peculiarities and the selective criteria for participation in calls.

This aspect often takes time away from artistic production and, especially at the beginning, maybe you do not know well the differences between the different realities that offer calls and organize residences. We are here to help you by reporting the best opportunities and preparing or reviewing your application.

This service is dedicated more specifically to musicians and performers, to search together for the most suitable space to perform; this service can also be requested in case of interest to exhibit in spaces other than usual or for those who did not have a constraint with gallery and for those interested in organizing an event.

This service is designed for artists who do not have a reference gallery or who want to manage a part of their production and artistic career independently; it can be useful to interface with galleries, collectors and institutions and take care of the connections and relationships that arise.

We offer consultancy services regarding the communication of your work as an artist/collective/group and the possibility of entrusting us with your social media and/or the management of relations with the press: people with sector-specific skills will take care of it.

This service is designed for those who do not have the time and skills to take care of the planning and organization of an event or for those seeking professional figures in the world of art, music and entertainment to be involved.




LEGAL PROTECTION

To provide this service we use the collaboration with Matteo Marini, lawyer, to whom you can request advice on contracts and any legal disputes and with which we prepare specific content dedicated to art and law.




NETWORKING

The YAS network is made up of realities and professionals in line with the values expressed in our manifesto and selected on the basis of proven peculiarities and affinities. The idea with which it was born is to create a real and virtual platform for sharing.

For us the studio visit, or the visit to the artist's studio, is the most beautiful part of the curator's work and the best way to truly understand the work of an artist, so we invite you to share this moment with us, organizing the visit and offering you our guide.

Once you have chosen the artwork(s) you want to buy, you will not have to worry about anything else, we will take care of the economic mediation with the artist and / or the representative gallery.
